YAC-N113, MTMS chemical, an alkylalkoxysilane is an important component in sol-gel system. It is a colorless liquid. It hydrolyzes slowly in the presence of moisture (methanol is released) to form reactive silanols. These react further to produce oligosiloxanes and then poly- siloxanes.

Application
The hydrolysis product of this compound, silanol, undergoes condensation reactions with hydroxyl groups on inorganic substrates such as quartz, clay, and silica surfaces, forming hydrophobic layers.
Its alkoxysilane groups react with hydroxy-terminated alkoxysilanes under catalytic conditions. Subsequently, through the hydrolyzable and condensable nature of alkoxysilanes, elastomers with superior mechanical properties are formed.
Packing and Storage
Storage: Store the container tightly closed in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place. Store apart from foodstuff containers or incompatible materials.
