YAC-N212 is a monomeric alkylalkoxysilane. It hydrolyzes in contact with water, releasing methanol, to form highly reactive silanols, which further condense to form oligomeric and polymeric siloxanes.
This alkyl alkoxy silane is the quivalent of Dow's Z-6194, Wacker's M2-DIMETHOXY, ShinEtsu's KBM-22.
YAC-N212 can be used for the synthesis of chemical intermediates.
YAC-N212 dimethyldimethoxysilane, DMDMS, can be used as an additive for the production of silicone resins.
YAC-N212 can be used for hydrophobization of surfaces, like glass, pigments etc.
